Lawsuits take issue with pension reform

The Contra Costa firefighters' and sheriff's deputies' unions are suing the county retirement system to restore pensions they say were promised from the day they started work. Five other lawsuits filed since November in other California counties also take issue with reduced pensions and contract conditions.
