Law clerk hiring system under fire, including in 9th Circuit

The system by which federal judges choose law clerks turned more chaotic this week when the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit announced the rules for hiring clerks are dysfunctional and judges there will no longer follow them.
