The Revolution Will Be Televised

The murder trial of former football star O.J. Simpson was labeled the "Trial of the Century." Maybe it was, at least for those who followed it on television every day as a real-life soap opera. For months the case riveted the country with its tale of passion and death in Brentwood. While it united the country around the television, it also divided people, often bitterly and often along racial lines, over whether Simpson was guilty or the victim of a vendetta by Los Angeles police.
