Lawsuits Over Diabetes Drug Pour Into State

A slew of lawsuits blaming a diabetes medication for patients' heart failures, strokes and deaths are pouring into California state courts.

SAN FRANCISCO - A slew of lawsuits blaming a diabetes medication for patients' heart failures, strokes and deaths are pouring into California state courts.

Several claims were filed in San Francisco County Superior Court last week against pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline and San Francisco-based distributor McKesson Corp. over the drug Avandia.
