In the recent case In re Marriage of Brandes, 2015 DJDAR 10109 (Aug. 31, 2015), the 4th District Court of Appeal wrote an important opinion in family law regarding a community's interest in a separate property business. The appellate court did not publish the decision, but the state Supreme Court subsequently deemed it important enough to publish.
