Pro per attorney defendant hit with $80K jury verdict

It was a festive Cinco de Mayo on Friday for Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Barbara M. Scheper, who was able to end a rambunctious jury trial after jurors reached an $80,000 verdict for the plaintiff, a legal secretary who sued her former boss for wage violations.
