Nixon Peabody disqualified from case after acquiring defense counsel in matter

An Orange County judge Friday disqualified Nixon Peabody LLP from representing the plaintiff in the firm's ongoing worker's compensation dispute after the firm poached opposing counsel in the case.

An Orange County judge Friday disqualified Nixon Peabody LLP from representing a plaintiff in an ongoing worker's compensation dispute after the firm hired opposing defense counsel in the case.

Andrew Selesnick, who defended a number of clients in a $50 million health care insurance lawsuit for Michelman & Robinson LLP, left the firm during litigation to join Nixon Peabody.
