Friedland wins key procedural vote in bid for 9th Circuit judgeship

The U.S. Senate assurred the confirmation of Michelle T. Friedland to the 9th Circuit with a 56-41 procedural vote in her favor Thursday. Senate Republicans delayed the final vote until Friday.
