Judge wins suit to keep his seat off June ballot

A San Bernardino County judge got a break last week when he won an unusual lawsuit against the county that allowed him to keep his judicial seat off the June election ballot.

A San Bernardino County judge got a break last week when he won an unusual lawsuit against the county that allowed him to keep his judicial seat off the June election ballot.


Superior Court Judge John Tomberlin, who sits in Victorville, sought re-election for his seat but failed to turn in candidacy papers, according to officials with the county registrar of voters.
