Associate who died in warehouse fire remembered for brilliance, good humor

Durie Tangri associate Nicholas Walrath, 31, died Friday in the Ghost Ship warehouse fire in Oakland, according to the firm.

Durie Tangri associate Nicholas Walrath, 31, died Friday in the Ghost Ship warehouse fire in Oakland, according to the firm.

Walrath joined the intellectual property boutique in October after a yearlong clerkship with U.S. District Judge Jon S. Tigar of San Francisco.

In a statement, the firm described Walrath as a caring person and fine lawyer.
