Lawyer pay rises, but gender difference persists

According to the 2016 Partner Compensation Survey, which was released last week by the recruiting firm Major, Lindsey & Africa, the average compensation for partners at U.S. law firms was up 22 percent from 2014, rising to $877,000 from $716,000.
