State Bar increasing fee for failing MCLE audit

The State Bar is increasing to $200 the fee assessed to lawyers who fail the agency's annual audit of their compliance with continuing legal education requirements.

The State Bar is increasing to $200 the fee assessed to lawyers who fail the agency's annual audit of their compliance with continuing legal education requirements.

The enhanced fee, up from $75, will be levied on attorneys who cannot accurately document they completed 25 hours of Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) courses in a three-year period.
