On June 15, New York band Satorii commenced a class action against the Richmond Organization Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary Ludlow Music Inc. in federal court in New York seeking a ruling that the song "This Land is Your Land" is in the public domain. This is the latest in a series of recent copyright fights, all started by the same law firm, over iconic songs such as "Happy Birthday" and "We Shall Overcome."
