Appellate justice William Rylaarsdam retires Thursday

The 79-year-old senior member of the court isn't ready to leave the law, so he'll be volunteering a few days each week at Legal Aid in Santa Ana, which provides free space for young lawyers who do pro bono work while building their own practices.
