Tension between DA, Persky reaches new high

Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen's office filed a peremptory challenge to Superior Court Judge Aaron Persky's assignment to another case.

Tension between Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen's office and Superior Court Judge Aaron Persky, who sentenced convicted felon and former Stanford swimmer Brock Turner to six months in jail for sexual assault, escalated when the DA's office removed Persky from a preliminary hearing for a new sexual assault case.
