James L. Hunt, a revered San Francisco-based antitrust litigator who played a central role in steering the merger between McCutchen, Doyle, Brown and Enersen LLP and Bingham Dana LLP, died suddenly Wednesday after an eight-month battle with cancer. He was 71.
