U.S. venture capital-backed M&A lowest in almost 20 years

U.S. mergers and acquisitions involving venture capital-backed companies dropped in the first quarter to their lowest level since the first quarter of 1995, according to Thomson Reuters and the National Venture Capital Association.

U.S. mergers and acquisitions involving venture capital-backed companies dropped in the first quarter to their lowest level since the first quarter of 1995, according to a recent report totaling the value of disclosed deals.


Of 77 venture capital-backed companies sold, 10 disclosed their deal values, which totalled $984.3 million together.
