Media-Sharing Site Shuts Down

The Pirate Bay, a Web site that illegally allowed millions of users to download movies, music and other media for free, says it permanently shut down its servers.

The Pirate Bay, the controversial Swedish Web site that illegally allowed millions of users to download movies, music and other media for free, announced it permanently shut down the centralized servers through which users shared digital files.
