Judge Remembered for Temper, Integrity

Donald E. Smallwood 1928—2009

SANTA ANA - A memorial service will be held Friday at the Orange County Superior Court to honor Donald E. Smallwood, a former presiding judge of the court, noted equally for his integrity, his humor and his impatience.

Smallwood, the presiding judge in 1992-93, died last week of complications following surgery to remove an esophageal tumor. He was 81.
