New U.S. Attorney Lays Out Priorities

Benjamin Wagner, the new U.S. attorney in Sacramento, says the Eastern District has become a center for mortgage fraud nationally and prosecuting those cases will be his priority.

SACRAMENTO - Benjamin Wagner, the newly sworn in U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District, said the district has become a hotbed of mortgage fraud and prosecuting those cases - and taking the lead in some traditionally state-prosecuted crimes - will be among his leading priorities.
