SAN JOSE - A San Clemente-based company, Calcar Inc., produces automobile operating manuals. A Palo Alto-based nonprofit organization, which goes by CalCars, promotes hybrid electric vehicles.

Even though their names are virtually identical, a Santa Ana judge has ruled that nobody is going to get them confused and dismissed a trademark infringement complaint Calcar filed in April 2007.
