Grocers Sue to Retain Control of Employees
LOS ANGELES - A Los Angeles city ordinance ostensibly adopted to protect grocery workers, as well as health and safety standards in supermarkets, when a store changes ownership is unlawful and could discourage companies from buying stores inside the city, the California Grocers Association alleged Thursday.
