No Trial Judges in L.A. Will Hear Benefits Case
LOS ANGELES - The entire Los Angeles Superior Court bench has been recused from a lawsuit alleging that judges have been collecting duplicate benefits from the state and county. The lawsuit filed by the conservative legal foundation Judicial Watch in April said the judges have collected $100 million in county benefits despite collecting duplicate benefits from the state since the court system was taken over by the state in 1998.
