Judge Who Barred High School Prayer Dies

SAN FRANCISCO - Raymond L. Marsh, a retired Alameda County Superior Court judge best known for his decision to bar prayer at a Livermore high school graduation ceremony, died of cancer Thursday at Alta Bates Medical Center in Berkeley. He was 73.
