Public Defender Asks DA to Halt Police Hearsay

Saying such action could help prevent future Rampart-like police corruption scandals, Los Angeles County Public Defender Mike Judge on Tuesday called on District Attorney Gil Garcetti to immediately halt Proposition 115 preliminary hearings that allow hearsay police testimony.
