Court Dumps $89M Discrimination Verdict

SAN FRANCISCO - The state Supreme Court on Monday unanimously upheld a Los Angeles judge's decision to throw out a jury's $89 million verdict against Hughes Aircraft for wrongful termination of minority employees but, in the process, sparked a call for a judge-set cap on all punitive damages.
