DA Demotes Chief Assistant

DA Demotes Chief Assistant SANTA ANA - Devallis Rutledge, Orange County's chief assistant district attorney who was stripped of his supervisorial duties last month and moved from Santa Ana's Central Justice Center during his wife's discrimination trial, has been demoted to the office of senior deputy district attorney. Chuck Middleton, a senior deputy in the office, has been appointed chief assistant district attorney in Rutledge's place.
