Convicted Judges Must Pay Own Criminal Defense Costs

A federal appeals court Tuesday rejected efforts of three convicted former judges to have their judicial liability insurance cover the cost of their defense at any stage of the federal prosecution against them, from the time of the grand jury investigation through the criminal appeal.
