Jury Will Consider Punitive Damages Against Dole
LOS ANGELES - With the specter of an impending appeal looming over the proceedings, a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge ruled Tuesday that a jury will consider punitive damages against Dole Food Co. for exposing five Nicaraguan men to pesticides that caused their sterility, even though the exposure happened outside California.
