Court rule would allow State Bar to again share bar exam passage list

The state Supreme Court says its proposal would address uncertainty surrounding the issue.

The state Supreme Court released a proposed rule Friday that would make clear the State Bar could again publicly release the list of those who pass the bar exam.

The bar stopped its longstanding practice of sharing the passage list this year due to state legislation approved in 2015 that the agency said precluded disclosure.
