New Judge to Hear Recusal Motion

A federal judge has responded to a motion for his recusal by Manatt, Phelps & Phillips in a malpractice case brought against the firm by a class of retired National Football League players.

SAN FRANCISCO - Even as he defended his actions in an earlier case, a federal judge ruled Monday that another judge should determine whether he ought to be recused from hearing a malpractice case brought against Manatt, Phelps & Phillips by a class of retired National Football League players.
