9th Circuit Grants Stay and Fast Tracks Appeal, Gay Marriage On Hold

Gay couples cannot marry while the proponents of Proposition 8 appeal a federal judge's ruling striking down the same-sex marriage ban as unconstitutional, a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Monday.
