The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is keeping same-sex marriages on hold while a three-judge panel reviews the case on its merits.
The court on Monday granted a stay of Chief Judge Vaughn Walker's Aug. 4 order that struck down California's same-sex marriage ban as unconstitutional, and fast-tracked the appeal.
