SciClone Pharmaceuticals, which has a strong market in China, is being investigation for alleged violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

Federal authorities are investigating whether SciClone Pharmaceuticals Inc. paid bribes to foreign officials, the Foster City-based company said this week in public filings and during a shareholder conference call.
The probe appears to be part of a effort by the Obama administration to crack down on U.S. pharmaceutical companies who may have violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act....
