Google, Yahoo Win in Patent Case

The companies sued a patent holding company that had been one of their most persistent legal adversaries.

Google Inc. and Yahoo Inc. have scored a major victory against a patent holding company that had been one of their most persistent legal adversaries.

A federal jury in the Eastern District of Texas concluded Monday that Google and Yahoo did not infringe a patent on electronic messaging belonging to one of several holding companies controlled by Erich Spangenberg.
