Man who helped bilk homeowners with phony law firm scheme sentenced to 8 years

An Orange County man who helped a now-former lawyer scam thousands of struggling homeowners out of $9 million will spend about eight years in prison under a sentence imposed Monday. Bryan D'Antonio, 50, will spend the first 97 months of his 109-month sentence behind bars and the final year in a halfway house, U.S. District Judge David O. Carter ordered.
