San Jose technology company wins $139.8 million patent damages verdict

Power Integrations Inc. won a $139.8 million verdict in a patent damages retrial against Fairchild Semiconductor International Inc.

SAN FRANCISCO ? Power Integrations Inc. won a $139.8 million verdict from a federal jury Thursday in a patent damages retrial against Fairchild Semiconductor International Inc.

The eight jurors sided firmly with Power Integrations, awarding the entire damages request that the plaintiff and patent holder sought at trial.
