Two county public defenders are among the governor's judicial picks

Gov. Jerry Brown announced Tuesday a new batch of 25 judicial appointments in 13 counties, with the largest influx pouring into Los Angeles, Fresno, and Orange.

Gov. Jerry Brown announced Tuesday 25 judicial appointments in 13 counties, most in Los Angeles, Fresno, and Orange.

Seven judges join courts from public defender's offices, including Raimundo J. Montes De Oca, the Santa Barbara County public defender, and Frank Ospino, Orange County's public defender.
