More than 280 attorneys could face State Bar discipline for failing to meet their continuing legal education requirements, a 33 percent increase from a year ago, and the highest since annual audits began in 2011.
The attorneys will be referred to the Office of Chief Trial Counsel as a result of the bar's most recent annual audit of its members' compliance with Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) mandates.
