NFL linebacker's fraud and negligence suit against Bank of America survives motion to dismiss

Dwight Freeney's claims of $20 million in fraud losses by one-time bank employees continue.

National Football League player Dwight Freeney can continue his suit against Bank of America for allegedly enabling two of its former employees to defraud him, causing losses of $20 million, a federal judge ruled Thursday.

Senior U.S. District Judge Margaret M. Morrow of Los Angeles allowed the bulk of Freeney's suit to proceed in a 102-page opinion.
