Reassessing Gorsuch's civil rights record

Liberal groups have criticized new U.S. Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch as a right-wing hack who would protect the government and corporations and roll back protections for ordinary people. This includes civil rights laws. Indeed, reviewing his nomination, the NAACP's Legal Defense Fund said Gorsuch "would take a narrow view of - if not affirmatively weaken - the fundamental and hard-fought civil rights of African Americans and other historically marginalized communities."
