San Diego attorney wins leadership award

Amanda Allen, an associate at Hecht Solberg Robinson Goldberg and Bagley LLP, took home the Lawyers Club of San Diego's first C. Hugh Friedman New Lawyer Award last month. The honor recognizes a young attorney who has advanced the organization's mission and demonstrated exceptional leadership and professionalism within the legal community. "Amanda has been a champion in helping Lawyers Club of San Diego promote the status of women in the law and society," Sarah R. Boot, the club's president, said in a statement. "Her tremendous contributions of time and talent to the club and key initiatives made her a natural choice as the first recipient of this prestigious award." The award is named for Hugh Friedman, a charter Lawyers Club member and significant contributor. The club will give it annually to an attorney who exemplifies the organization's values who has been practicing for seven years or less. — Jason Armstrong
