The state Supreme Court on Thursday denied habeas relief to a man sentenced to death after he was convicted at the age of 19 of murdering two people. Following a report by a court-appointed investigator, the seven-judge panel ruled 5-2 that jurors did not act with bias when they convicted Maurice Boyette.
