There is nothing garden variety about the tomatoes being developed by Enza Zaden, the Netherlands-based vegetable breeding company Ward represents.


"They are developing new varieties of tomatoes that are resistant to various pests," he said, "and it's all classical breeding with nothing genetically engineered."


Ward has been working with the company to develop its plant intellectual property strategy.
