New member appointed to Judicial Council

Four members of the Judicial Council were announced for new terms, including three returning judges reappointed by the chief justice and a new attorney picked by the State Bar's Board of Trustees.

California's judicial branch said Wednesday that Marvin R. Baxter, associate justice of the Supreme Court, Douglas P. Miller of the Fourth District California Court of Appeal, and Emilie H. Elias of Los Angeles Superior Court have been reappointed to the state Judicial Council. Their new terms will end on Sept. 14, 2016.
