State bar board votes to pursue dues increases

Finishing up a two-day meeting, the Board of Trustees of the State Bar of California voted to move forward with a legislative proposal to increase dues to pay for legal aid services, despite dissenting votes by five members.

The State Bar of California on Thursday voted to draft a legislative proposal to increase lawyers' dues after a two-day board meeting in Sacramento.
