Circuit: Debtor can avoid lien on Mercedes used for work

A debtor can avoid a lien on a motor vehicle -- even a Mercedes -- if it is a "tool of the debtor's trade," the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Tuesday.

A debtor can avoid a lien on a motor vehicle -- even a Mercedes -- if it is a "tool of the debtor's trade," the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Tuesday.
