Former Quinn Emanuel partner picked to lead FTC

Former Los Angeles-based Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP partner Edith Ramirez was tapped by President Barack Obama to chair the Federal Trade Commission.

Former Los Angeles-based Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP partner Edith Ramirez was tapped by President Barack Obama to chair the Federal Trade Commission, replacing outgoing Chairman Jon Leibowitz. Ramirez has served on the commission since April 2010. Before joining Quinn Emanuel, she was vice president of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, and an associate at the Los Angeles offices of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP....
