State Senate names Sacramento lawyer to State Bar Board of Trustees
Under a law to reduce lawyers' control over their own regulation, the Senate Rules Committee named Sacramento lawyer Glenda Corcoran to the State Bar board.

Making the state Senate's first appointment of a lawyer to the State Bar governing board, Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg announced that Glenda R. Corcoran, a Sacramento lawyer and former Assembly staffer, will join the bar Board of Trustees.
Corcoran, 37, spent more than a decade in the Assembly, working for a trio of members, Steinberg said in a news release.
