EB-5 applications, approvals soar
The U.S. government received and approved record numbers of initial EB-5 application forms last year, and lawyers saw plenty of work as a result.

Last year, the U.S. government received and approved record numbers of initial EB-5 application forms, and California processed more requests to certify areas as EB-5 eligible than in 2011, according to data from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, or USCIS, and the California Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development, or GO-Biz.
